I’m a UK based crafter who loves the dopamine hit of learning and achieving something new. My two children are now amazing adults. I’m an animal and nature lover who loves a good book or TV box set.

I first learnt to knit and sew at a very young age, taught by my Mum and Gran. Being surrounded by talented women in my family with amazing skills, I picked some of it up well, but could never get on with sewing pieces together! So Knitting I can do, but crochet, I prefer.

Crochet, I learned from so many creators on YouTube. My favourites were https://www.youtube.com/@bellacococrochet I learned everything I needed from her tutorials, and the other one is https://www.youtube.com/@HookedbyRobin/videos https://www.youtube.com/embed/XfuX_mjfUh8?si=vZYfvNpffNz9SAPh

the bright aesthetic just drew me in. Her tutorials are also so clear to follow.

It’s a craft I have always gone back to and love seeing other people’s work.

2024 has been a tumultuous year for me. A period of ill health became a chronic illness and with that my 25 year nursing career has come to an end. With has come this new beginning.

Looking forward to seeing if this grows into something. After all, in the words of The Fifth Doctor…
